Welcome to the Class 5 homepage. Here you will find all the information you need to know about Class 5.
This year, our Learning Support Assistant is Mrs Beeley. We both can't wait to see you all on the 14th of July for our transition!
Our learning journey for the Autumn term is called 'Does Adversity Make Us Stronger?' In this, we will be learning about Eyam and The Plague of 1665.
Please read the attached Long Term Plan and knowledge organiser for this term's exciting learning journey.
Our PE days are yet to be decided, so can you please make sure that all children have appropriate PE kit in school on these days. It would be useful if PE kit was left in school all week in case we have to change our PE lessons for any reason. We aim to get outside for PE where possible so if children could make sure they have appropriate kit and footwear.
How Can I Support My Child At Home?
SpellingShed, MathsShed and Times Tables RockStars are very important and should be practised daily. All children have their own log ins and can access exciting new challenges each week.
Our Reading Challenge is up and running and our theme is Space. Reading is exceptionally important and the minimum expectation is that each child reads to their grown-up at least three times per week. Please sign and date when your child has read so we can monitor how much they are reading and also ensure they are progressing in the challenge.
If you have any questions about how you can support your child’s learning in Class 5 please come in and ask. We'll all do our best to accommodate.
