Mental Health and Well Being

As part of the school's approach to support the Mental Health and Well being of all children, we will be introducing the 'Zones of Regulation'. This is an approach that enables chidlren to develop skills in the area of self-regulation. Self-regulation can go by many names, such as self-control, self-management and impulse control. It is defined as the best stae of alertness of both body and emotions for a specific situation. We hope that chidlren will be able to recognise how their behaviour can impact on the feelings of those around them.

You will find a parents guide to the Zones of Regulations above, and if you have any questions, please ask your child's teacher . We will be working with the Well-Being Warriors to role this out in school and ensure that the Zones of Regulation are accessible for all of the different age ranges.

Take a look at the helpful resources at the top of this page.

If you need support or help with your emotions please talk to a member of staff in school or parents or carers at home.
