Welcome to the FS1! Here you will find everything you need to know about our learning in FS1.
Curriculum
This term our Learning Journey is: Where does our food come from?
This half term our new learning journey is called 'Where does our food come from?'. We will be learning all about the farm and where different food comes from, starting off on our exciting trip to White Post Farm. In science we will talk about different animal features and sort them into categories including fur, scales, shell and feathers! During our geography learning we will discover where different food can be bought such as butchers, bakers and greengrocers! In art we will make our own half and half animals pictures and during DT learn how to make a fruit salad.
Also this half term we will celebrate The King's Coronation with a class tea party and see if our baby chicks will hatch before half term!

PE in FS2
Our PE day is Thursday - please ensure your child has their PE kit in school on a Thursday and is taken home every Friday in case it is needed on a different day.
Please also ensure that long hair is tied back and earrings are removed on PE day.
Here are some useful websites that will support you with learning at home. Please do not feel any pressure to complete a certain number of tasks each day or to stick to a rigid learning routine. Remember, at school your children learn through a mixture of adult led and child initiated activities so while they spend some of their day sitting with a grown up to focus on a specific area of the curriculum, they also have lots of opportunities to learn through their play in our provision.
