We are so excited to begin Year 2! On our class page, we will share an insight into our learning by uploading photos of what we’ve been doing in school. Our WHiSK sheets are also available on the website, so you can see what your child is learning throughout each term.

Please continue to record your child’s reading at home and return their reading diary to school daily. Reading records are checked every Friday. Two reading books will also be sent home each Friday: one recommended read from our library and one phonics book. Please ensure both books are returned the following week so they can be changed on Friday.

Weekly spellings are set on Spelling Shed, and children will be tested every Monday. Printed spelling lists will also be sent home each week if you prefer a paper copy.

In Year 2, PE takes place on Wednesday mornings, so it is important that your child has the correct PE kit in school.
