Welcome to Class 2! Our team this year is very excited for the year ahead and we can't wait to see all the fantastic progress the children make over the next year.  On our class page we will be sharing information about what we’ll be learning, sharing our successes in the gallery of photos and ‘latest news’ section and offering tips on how you can help your child at home.

Our new Learning Logs are proving to be a hit.  Please use these to log your child's reading and return to school daily in your child's reading wallet so that your child may use the information sheets within during their lessons.  Two reading books will be sent home in the wallet, one to practise their reading and a recommended read to be shared.  I love reading and want the children to develop a love of reading too, as children who read for enjoyment every day not only perform better, but also develop a broader vocabulary, increased general knowledge and a better understanding of other cultures.

As always, if there is ever anything you would like to discuss or if you have any concerns, please either catch me on the yard, send an email or give the office a call. I am always happy to have extra phone calls or meetings throughout the year so we can work together to support the children.
